Melissa Smothers Obituary
Melissa Ann Smothers, age 73, of Camden, TN passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Jackson, TN. Mrs. Smothers was born on January 26, 1950 in Gadsden, AL to the late Grover Lusk, Sr. and the late Lee Rogers Lusk. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Michael Smothers and a niece, Brandy Lusk Ellis. Mrs. Smothers was a member of West Side Baptist Church.

Daughter: Sheri Ann (Anthony) Smothers Simon of Murfreesboro, TN
Daughter-in-law: Cindy Smothers of Big Sandy, TN
Brother: Grover (Kathy) Lusk, Jr. of Camden, TN
Grandchildren: Alexandria Ferrell, Ashley Hauck, James Smothers, Anthony Simon, Kenneth Simon, Porsha Simon, Cheyanne Simon, Dakota Simon, Dallas Simon, Severian Smothers, Tiberius Smothers
Great Grandchildren: Mason, Michael, Mattie, Nevaeh, Nyler, Xavier, Madison, Eli, Jordyn, Javari, Messiah Nephew: Cody Lusk
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 PM and again on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 1 PM at Oakdale Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammy Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Holladay, TN.
