Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunty
April 16, 1957 – November 7, 2025
Melody is survived by her beloved children, Dorcas Ashley and Fidelia Amamoo-Ocansey, and four cherished grandchildren. She was also a loving sister to the late Benjamin Cudjoe Akakpo, Diana Akakpo, Emmanuel Akakpo, and Kwame Minimsah.
The family of Melody Akakpo wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the sympathy, comforting words, prayers and all expressions of kindness and concern. May God continue to bless us all.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Riverdale on Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Ave, Bronx, NY 10471 Phone:718-884-6100
Following the viewing, interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Avenue (Jackson Avenue at Saw Mill River Road), Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706. Phone: (914) 478-1855
