Melody Williams Obituary
Troy- Melody J. Williams, 69, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Weston and Helen Sitterly.
Melody worked as a housekeeper for Samaritan hospital until her retirement.
Melody enjoyed spending time with her entire family. She loved taking care of her plants and crafting. Most of all, Melody cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately called her "Mema".
Melody is survived by her children, Catrina (Bill) Schumaker, Kristina (Dennis) Walters, and William (Nicole) Williams; siblings, Irene (Dennis) Vonronne, Helen Thorton, Harry Sitterly, and Raymond (Marianne) Sitterly; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her beloved cat, Baby Girl; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Melody is predeceased by her brothers, Weston and Albert Sitterly; and her sister, Florence Sitterly.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a celebration of life to follow at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Melody's name to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society at https://www.mohawkhumane.org/donate.
