Melvin Bessling Obituary
Melvin Joseph Bessling, Sr., age 70, passed away on April 21, 2023. He was born on December 13, 1952 to the late Albert and Margaret (nee Brandt) Bessling. Melvin is the beloved husband of 28 years to Betty May Bessling (nee Lescalleet); cherished father of Melissa (Anthony) Fowlkes, Melvin (Amanda Krosney) Bessling, Jr., and Tammy Miley; loving grandfather of Robert (Amanda) Riser, Jr., Kierra Fowlkes, Kayla Krause, and Anthony Fowlkes; great grandfather of Karter Ramsay, Gino Patrick Riser, and Amelia Grace Riser; dear brother of Albert (Millie) Bessling, Jerry Bessling, Wayne (Wanda) Bessling, Robert (Barbara) Bessling, and brother in law of Diane Bessling; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Melvin is preceded in death by his siblings Mary Bessling, Dorothy Bessling, Carol Ann Bessling, Ronnie Bessling, and nephew Ricky Bessling.
A viewing will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave, Essex MD 21221 on Wednesday from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10am followed by burial at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.

To Betty and family..We are so sorry to hear of Mels passing. We miss the times we had as neighbors on Wye Rd even though its been many years. Please hold your memories close that you and Mel have shared. Our condolences from the Peytons..Debbie..Tracy..Charlie..Jamie and grandkids..Love to you..
