Melvin Clark

Melvin "Blinky" Clark, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away February 20, 2026 at his Fairfield, California residence. After being diagnosed three years prior with lung cancer, he walked through his journey with unwavering courage, faith and dignity. He gave his all in his attempt to beat cancer. His motto was, " I'm going to kick cancer like a football."

Melvin proudly served his country and was a Veteran of the United States Army and Airborne Corp where he earned his Parachutist badge. He enjoyed many outdoor sports which included hunting and fishing. His pastimes at home were, gardening, caning, baking, and grilling. He titled himself a master griller. His life long passion was fishing which he loved sharing with his many nephews and nieces. He was a devoted husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Phyllis Mona Clark, nephews, nieces, and his life long friend Mike, and many other friends.

His body will be laid to rest at East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento, California, March 9th, 2026.
