Melvin Oren Dibbles

1942 - 2026

Melvin Oren Dibbles went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2026, and was reunited with loved ones who went before him.

He was born on March 2, 1942, in Ogema, Wisconsin, to Donald and Capitola Dibbles. On June 17, 2017, Melvin married Norma, and together they shared years of love, laughter, and companionship.

For 30 years, Melvin owned and operated M&C Sports in Rockford, IL. 15 years ago, he moved to Crandon, Wisconsin to be closer to his family.

Melvin loved snowmobiling, motorcycle riding, and fishing, and was happiest when laughing and spending time with his family. His warmth, humor, and kind spirit will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; his daughter, Debra Hector; his sons, Scott Dibbles and David (Liz) Dibbles; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; his sisters, Bonnie Yoakum, Betty (William) Bergeson, and Donna (Doug) Boileau; his brother, Albert (Patty) Dibbles; and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Todd Dibbles; his brothers, Eugene, Lavern, and Kenneth Dibbles; and his brother-in-law, Larry Yoakum.

A memorial service will be held on February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., a one-hour visitation will precede services beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Lakeland Baptist Church in Crandon. Pastor Ezra Billings will preside. A luncheon will follow services, all attending the memorial service are invited to attend.
