MELVIN HARVEY KITTELSON Melvin Harvey Kittelson, 91, of International Falls, Minnesota passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving children. He was born October 12, 1932, to Conrad and Florence (Fish) Kittelson in International Falls. He grew up as one of fourteen children with lots of laughter and love. He married May Noreen Ellefloot on December 27, 1952. They lived in International Falls, moving to Roger's Route to May's childhood home in the early 1960s. They had four children and went on to welcome twelve grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Mel worked for 44 years at Boise and went on to work as a custodian for the school district. Mel loved his family and friends deeply and helped so many people in his life. He is preceded in death by the love of his life, May Kittelson (in 2019); his parents, Conrad and Florence Kittelson; and nine siblings. He is survived by his four children, Chris (Linda) Kittelson of East Bethel, MN, Peggy (Greg) Magner of McGregor, MN, Suzanne (Larry) Reimer of Pahrump, NV, and Jeri (David) Sceeles, of International Falls; four sisters, Sofie Cyr, Betty Hull, Marilyn Wednenchuck, and Carolyn Taylor; twelve-grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Ketchum and his staff of Essentia Medical, Dr. Stone and Dr. Crossley of Essentia Medical, Kristy Werner of Koochiching Aging Options, Polly, Franny, Jessica, J.J. and volunteers of Fairview Hospice.
