We are very saddened to announce the passing of Melvin W. Moore on December 25, 2025, at Shrewsbury Nursing Home.
Born on March 7, 1934, in Minto, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Bramwell and Pauline (Skriptzik) Moore.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Rosetta (Warren) Moore whom he married on December 26, 1960, in Westborough, MA. He is also survived by his daughter, Debra (Moore) Wilkins of Vermont, grandchildren, Eugene Wilkins, Ryan Wilkins, and Sara Wilkins, several great-grandchildren, all of Vermont. He is also survived by one brother, Murray Moore (Rose) of New Brunswick, Canada, sisters, Jane Pike (late Donald) of New Brunswick, Canada, May Fraser (late Harold) of New Brunswick, Canada and Mary Ann Wyllie (Fred) of New Brunswick, Canada.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers, Leonard, who died young, George Moore (Ellen) of New Brunswick, Canada, Winston Moore (Tenna) of New Brunswick, Canada, David (late Bonnie) and Thomas Moore of Belldune, New Brunswick, Canada: sisters, Hilda Hoyt (late Alton), Shirley Scovill (Murray) of St. John, New Brunswick, Canada and one sister who died young, Emma Mae Moore, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Melvin served with the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked at Bay State Abrasives for thirty-eight years before retirement.
By request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough.
