Melvin Schaffer Obituary
On Saturday, September 23, 2023, Melvin "Mel" Gilbert Schaffer of Linthicum Heights, MD formerly of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully. Beloved husband of Anne M. Moon for over 16 years. Loving brother of Bridget Mastrounni and her husband Mark and his nephew Evan Vracar. Mel was preceded in death by his parents; Susan and Alfred Schaffer and all of his siblings.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW (at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Graveside Service and Interment will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Mel's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
