I didn´t know Melvin personally but I remember he is Bertha Strowder´s brother and Augusta´s son.
I´m so sorry that you lost him Bertha and I´m so sorry that you lost your mom.
I will always remember you so fondly as my sister Hilde and I had you for our camp counselor for Merrick Community Center´s Head of the Rapids Camp up in Hinkley, MN. We loved you so much and missed you so much after camp was over we begged our mom Bernice to try and get in touch with you and she did! Which resulted in your mom Augusta inviting my sister and my mom and I to dinner! It was wonderful meeting your beautiful mom and family! I don´t remember the year exactly but I was about 7 years old so 1957 approximately.
I hope you read this Bertha and I would love to hear from you after all these years! Please send me an email if you´re able thank you and blessings to your family.
Melvin sounded like a very sweet person and I´m sorry for your loss.
