January 11, 1955 - November 15, 2024
Melvin, of Midlothian, VA, died November 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Carolyn Boone Todd. Surviving are his son, Melvin L. Todd, Jr. (Jacqueline); daughter, Bridget M. Todd (Michael Amato); three grandchildren, Judith M., Melvin L. III and Carolyn J. Todd; four brothers, Maurice L. (Brenda), T. Michael, Milton and Mark Todd; three sisters, Marie Todd, Veronica Carter (Ervin), and Valerie Todd; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Friday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, November 23, at First Baptist Church Midlothian, 13800 Westfield Road, Midlothian, VA. Rev. Pernell Johnson, officiating. Entombment, Dale Memorial Gardens.

Words can not express the sorrow and pain I feel experiencing the loss of Melvin. My name is Robin James I´m the wife of Kenneth James. Kenny was Melvin childhood best friend and part of Pablo Cruise gang. Just want to say I was so honored to meet him and be a part of my life through out Kenny and our marriage for 32 years. Rest in peace my brother.
