Funeral Services for Melvin Walker 74, who departed this earthly
life bound for his Heavenly home on December 24, 2025 at
the Edgefield County Hospital. He was a resident of Trenton,
SC.
Melvin was born on August 29, 1951 in Johnston, S, C.
At an early age, he joined Bland Baptist Church. He was
educated in the Edgefield County School System. He was
employed for many years by the Town of Johnston SC. Until
his health started to decline.
Melvin enjoyed riding and training horses. He was an avid
animal lover. He was called to his Heavenly Home on
Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Walker , Sr
and Annie L. Price Walker and a sister, Debra Walker.
He leaves to love honor and cherish his memory, a daughter,
Montana Walker, Monetta, SC; a son, Tony Pixley (Sharon),
North Augusta, SC; two grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren; two sisters, Ruby Springs, (Paul, Sr) Saluda,
SC and Elaine Burton (John H), Rock Hill, SC; four brothers,
Oscar Walker, Jr (Vera) Wallace T. Walker,(Dorothy) and
Theodore Walker, all of Johnston, SC and Johnny Walker
(Susan), Aiken, SC ; two aunts, Fairie Bell Andrews,
Johnston, SC and Minnie Ethel Young of Capital Heights,
Maryland and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
