Melvin Bryant Williams

Melvin Bryant Williams passed away on January 15, 2026, in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 77. Born April 3, 1948, in Wilmington, NC.

Melvin was the son of the late Melvin Marlow Williams and Elizabeth Smith Williams. He was preceded in death by his son, Melvin Bryant Williams, Jr.

Melvin is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Helen Louise Williams, who stood by him through life's journey. Melvin is also survived by his sons, Brandon Williams, (wife Holly Williams) and Casey Williams.

He is also survived by his stepson David Knight (wife Edwina Knight) and stepdaughter Christina Fennelly (husband Sean Fennelly).

Melvin was blessed with seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Hayden, Travis, Ty, Judson, Aaliyah, Lucas, Evan, and Scarlett.

Melvin served in The United States Coast Guard. He was a Welding Inspector at Invicta for over 30 years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, the beach, fishing and admiring custom vehicles.

Melvin battled CML for over 20 years along with kidney failure and congestive heart failure. In alignment with Melvin's wishes, a celebration of life will be private.
