Meredith 'Muzzy Labouisse Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 11, 2008.
Meredith Janvier Labouisse passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 62. Following a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Mrs. Labouisse, known lovingly by friends and family as Muzzy, is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, John Peter Labouisse III, two children Mary-Frances Labouisse Adriance (Jason) and Charles Janvier Labouisse (Jennifer), four grandchildren: John Sawyer Adriance, Mary Hardtner Labouisse, Charles Wilhelm Adriance, and Anna Childs Stolzenthaler, and a brother, Charles Janvier (Alice) of Atlanta, GA. Muzzy was preceded in death by her son John Peter Labouisse IV and her parents, Charles Janvier II and Lucy Joy Bagnell Janvier. Muzzy was a graduate of Louise S. McGehee School and Garland Junior College in Boston, MA. A true New Orleanian, Muzzy had been a member of the Junior League of New Orleans, and reigned as queen of the Elves of Oberon. She loved hunting, fishing, art, and Mardi Gras, and was co-owner/proprietor of uptown boutique, Bon Montage for several years. Above all, Muzzy was no stranger to wit and sarcasm, and was best known for her wonderful sense of humor and loyal friendship. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of Lambeth House for their loving care and friendship.
