Merlene H. Byars-Klutzow passed away on January 6, 2022. She was born to Gideon and Nettie Faile Hutto on November 8, 1931 in West Columbia, SC.
Merlene is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Alvin W. Byars; her second husband, Frederick Klutzow; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Merlene is survived by her children, Alvin Byars (Cathy), Robin Byars, Jay Byars (Sarah Jane), and Blaine Byars; her grandchildren, Christian Watters, Gavin Byars, Bianca Byars, and David Byars; and 9 great great-grandchildren.
A service for Merlene H. Byars-Klutzow will be held at Celestial Memorial Gardens in the Mausoleum Chapel on Monday January 10, 2022 at 2:00pm.
