Merrill Longfellow Browne

Merrill Longfellow Browne (74) passed away at home on Sunday, December 21, 2025, with a house full of friends and family.

Merrill was born February 23, 1951, in Medford, Massachusetts to the late Merrill and Betty Browne. He was a middle child with one brother and three sisters. Throughout his life he never slowed down. From studying under Billy Graham and becoming a pastor before he even reached 18, to leading peace protests in his 20s, going on missionary trips in other countries, attending college, learning trades, having multiple careers in different fields and having many successful businesses. He was known as "The Music Man" or "The Coin Guy" at Jamies Flea Market to many. But many more called him dad, grandpa or brother, even if they weren't his blood.

He had a love for people and simply wanted the best for everyone. He loved to tell stories and had so many to tell. He loved to spend time with his grandson going to train shows, hot wheels conventions or simply going shopping. He was full of knowledge of all kinds and loved to share it. He lived a very full life, helping as many as he could along the way.

He leaves behind his children Shannon Hart (Steve Hart), Jennifer Francis (Michael Patalon), Jamie Browne, Tyler Gerold, Marissa Gerold, and was proceeded in death by his son Chad Vance. He also leaves behind his grandsons Cayden Farr, Shane Hart, Alexander Browne, and Conner McCrink. As well as his brother Charlie Browne, and sisters Linda Silva and Betty Price-Kulacz, proceeded in death by his sisters Connie Sullivan. All services are private. (440) 322-3717 www.buschcares.com
