William Lewis Ogg, age 84 of
Grafton, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, because his work on earth was done. Bill was born June 11, 1941, in
Athens, Ohio. He was raised in Elyria from the age of 18 months and resided in Elyria and Grafton most of his life. Bill graduated from Midview High School with the class of 1960 and Kent State University in the winter class of 1966 with a BA degree in biology. He retired from the grocery business after 31 years of service with Korger Co., Fazzios, Rini Rego and Giant Eagle as a store manager and department manager.
Bill met his wife Marilyn E. (nee Tester) Ogg at Kent State University and married on June 19, 1965. After college, he enlisted in the US Air Force on November 6th, 1966, and served in Kansas and Cam Rahn Bay Air Base, Vietnam for a year reaching the rank of SSgt. And NCOIC of Material Control. He was honorably discharged on May 20, 1970.
His interests were his electric train collection and the Freemasons of which he was a member for 60+years. He belonged to ten Masonic groups, serving as the first Tyler of Elyria Lodge #787 for fifteen years, Excellent High Priest and Secretary/Treasurer of Marshal Chapter #47, Illustrious Master and Treasurer of Elyria Council #86, Eminent Commander and Treasurer of Elyria Commandery #60, and Sovereign Master of Allied Masonic Degrees #233. In addition, he served as Treasurer for 5 years and Sentinel for 17 years of OES Stone City #325. Bill was also a Life Member of VFW Post 3341 in Grafton. He belonged to El Rey Grotto and the Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Cleveland-32-degree Mason.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William H. Ogg, mother, Mary Pearcy Ogg and youngest son, Dr. Glenn T. Ogg.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn E. (nee Tester) Ogg, son, William K. (Jennifer Shaw) Ogg, grandson, William J. Ogg, granddaughter Olivia E. Ogg, and daughter-in-law, Alanda T. Ogg.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 11am-1pm with a Masonic Service at 12:30pm and a Celebration of Life beginning at 1pm with Chaplin Zachery Luginbill from O'Neill Hospice Care officiating at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street,
