Merrily Gieseking

Gieseking, Merrily (Schultz) Of New Brighton, passed away 2/2/2024. Born 12/5/1942 to Clifford and Iris Schultz of Minneapolis, MN. She will be missed by her husband Bill Gieseking, sons; Tim (Beth) Sellner, Gregg (Lori) Sellner, 5 grandchildren; Sam (Ellie), Kyle, Max, Vanessa, and Jack, 2 sisiters; Monica (Vern) Larson and Margie Schultz. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son's father Charles Sellner. Merrily attended Michael Dowling School for the handicapped and graduated high school from Marshall High in 1961. She proudly worked for FMC for many years and then Eddy's Ice Cream until she retired at the age of 65. Despite having polio as a child she lived life with spunk, energy, and she loved to laugh. Merrily enjoyed music, playing the banjo, guitar and piano. Boating and spending time outside with her husband and family were favorite activities. Seldom would you see her without one of her beloved pets - most recently are dog Riley, and her parrot Paco. Merrily's love of fun and laughter will be remembered.
