Meryl Jacobs Obituary
Born in Brooklyn, Meryl graduated from Queens College and later Boston University with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology. She was a counselor at B'Nai B'rith, Fairleigh Dickinson University, and later opened her own private practice as a licensed professional counselor/ psychotherapist.
She married her beloved husband, Glenn Jacobs, in 1981, and together they raised two daughters: Jennifer and Lisa. Meryl loved tennis, skiing, her work, romantic comedies, listening to music, Broadway plays and found immense joy in her grandchildren. She was very involved in attending Traumatic Brain Injury conferences.
She is survived by Glenn, her children, grandchildren (Ayla, Orli, Rafael, Bella), and her sister.
The funeral will be held at Beth El and Cedar Park Cemeteries on January 7, 2026 at 1:15 PM. Donations may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and/or The Pancreas Center at New-York-Presbyterian/ Columbia University.
