Mettie J. Burns, 69, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Clearvista Lake Health Campus in Indianapolis. She was born on March 19, 1956 to Jerry and Marie (Kemp) Watson in Escondido, California.
Mettie owned her own house cleaning business. She was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church and Ingalls Church of God. Mettie loved gospel music and going to church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Mettie is survived by her husband, Sam Burns I; sons, Samuel II (Hilliary), and Chris (Becky); brother, Jerry K. (Jeannie) Watson II; and her 6 grandchildren, Samuel III, Hannah, Nathaniel, Graysen, Amelia, and Thatcher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her caregiver and friend, Kathy Clendenen.
In addition to her parents, Mettie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Meade & Mettie Kemp.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with services at 12:00 pm, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
