Mia Shea Reynolds passed away November 26, 2024 in Casper WY
Mia was born November 10 2004 in Alliance NE to Erin K. Dubs and Ryan L. Reynolds, and was quickly wisped away to Rapid City SD where she would begin her fight in the NICU. She was a born warrior from day one, being born 12 weeks early. She adopted a couple nicknames very early on as a baby, and never outgrew them. Mir and MiMi. If mom used the name Mia, some serious discussions were about to be had, and she knew it.
Mir had the kindest heart of anyone I have ever known. She put everyone before herself. She put everyone else's health and needs before her own. She found her love for EMT/Paramedic and Firefighting when she interned her senior year of high school for the Alliance Fire Department. The men and women there took her under their wing and treated her as if she was their own child. She followed that path and obtained her EMT certification while still in high school.
Mia was currently in paramedic school in Casper WY. Working in Wheatland WY as an EMT and also in Mills WY as an EMT.
Mia had a lifelong heartbreaking battle with Type 1 Diabetes and Addison's Disease. She took it in stride for the most part but some days it took over. There were days she would cry to me and tell me how hard it was, but she would eventually wipe her tears, grab a hug and press on. My sweet loving girl fought a very long, hard, exhausting, courageous battle and now it's time for her to be free from it all for once in her life. I could not be more proud of her for everything she accomplished and everything she endured in her short life here with us.
I would like to thank Chief Troy Shoemaker and the Alliance Fire Department/EMT's for everything they have done for Mir personally and professionally over the years. I would also like to thank Chief Will Gay at the Mill's Fire Department for taking a chance on MiMi professionally and being "my parental eyes" while I was so far away. You all will hold a VERY special place in our hearts forever.
Mir is survived by her mother and father, Erin and Jay Dubs of Alliance and Ryan Reynolds of Alliance. Her special friend, Dawson Osman of Casper. Her siblings, Benjamin Reynolds & Tuff Dubs of Alliance, Miguel Dubs, Jasmine Dubs. Her aunt Kelly and Joe Kezeor (Caleb & Abby), her grandpa Gary Fritzler(Tracy), aunt Janet Reynolds and aunt Desiree Reynolds and numerous cousins.
She is preceded in death by her Aunt Danielle Lehl, Grandma Peggy Sheldon, Grandpa Gene Sheldon, Grandpa Dann Reynolds.
You are SO SO LOVED MiMi always and forever and I will see you in my dreams...
Memorial Service will be Friday December 20th at 2:00 pm at the Alliance Fire Station.
Memorials may be given to the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department Inc. at 315 Cheyenne Ave. Alliance NE 69301 in Mia's name.
