Ernestine Reynolds

ERNESTINE REYNOLDS of Elkview, WV, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend passed into the next life Thursday, August 28, at CAMC Memorial Hospital after 105 years.
She was preceded in death by her father John D. Kennedy, mother Alice V. Kennedy of Clendenin, WV, her brother Lloyd Kennedy of Pamona, NY, and her husband of 49 years, George Reynolds.
She is survived by her two sons John Reynolds (Ruth Ann) and Mike Reynolds (Karen) both from Elkview, grandchildren, Brian, Beth, and Alison, and four great grandchildren.
Ernestine graduated from Clendenin High School and attended Glenville State College where she received her teaching certificate. She attended St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. She was a past matron and 81-year member of the Eastern Star.
Ernestine enjoyed time with family and friends, swimming, and playing bridge.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday September 3, 2025 at Hafer Funeral Home.
The funeral will be Thursday, September 4 at 12 p.m., at Saint Andrew Presbyterian church in Pinch with Rev. Dr. Todd Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park in Big Chimney.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 868 Pinch, WV 25156 or to a charity of your choice.
