Micah Erickson

Micah Peter Erickson, 43, of West Fargo died in his home Thursday, July 4, 2024, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle against cancer.
Micah was born in Fargo, ND on August 3, 1980, to Peter and Kathy Erickson. He grew up in Fargo and New Hope with one sister, Andretta. He graduated from Shanley High School in 1999 and the University of North Dakota in 2003.
While in Grand Forks, Micah met Beth Leno, the love of his life. They were married on September 10, 2004. They are blessed with two children, Connor and Lana.
Micah spent his entire 20+ year career as a TSA agent, joining them right after 9/11 when TSA was formed. He medically retired from TSA in early 2024.
Family meant the world to Micah. He was kind and patient, and could talk to anyone, but nothing meant more to him than having a movie night at home with his family. Micah cherished his time with his children including taking Lana to haunted houses each fall and helping the staff there get extra scares out of her, and being a pyromaniac under the guise of curating fireworks shows with Connor for all to enjoy over the 4th of July. He liked nothing better than enjoying the outdoors and camping with his family. He was so proud of Lana for all her theatre productions and Connor as he made Eagle Scout. He supported the kids in all their endeavors and assisted wherever he could, including being a Scout leader and coaching basketball. He was a jack of all trades with home projects that only sometimes required outside family help to finish.
In addition to however he could help the kids, Micah couldn't turn down a volunteer need. As a member of the Knights of Columbus he worked selling trees, working pancake feeds, and more.
Micah is survived by his wife Beth, of 19 years, his children Connor and Lana, his sister Andretta, his parents Peter and Kathy, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. His special canine buddy Duke and feline friend Bishop will miss all the scratches and pets Micah never denied them.

Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11 AM, Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.
