Micah Christine Hayes, 33, of Springport passed away following a battle with breast cancer on Friday, September 12, 2025 at her residence. She was born June 17, 1992 in Indianapolis to Micah and Amelia (Cox) Perry.
Micah was a 2011 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and then went on to complete two degrees, one in dental assisting and one in medical billing at Ivy Tech Community College.
Some of her greatest joys include spending time with her husband and children and family, vacations at the beach, caring for her farm animals, spending time on the boat fishing, billiards and one day fishing in the bass pro tournament.
Micah had a special gift of knowing no stranger and making friends with anyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by her husband of nine years, Codie J. Hayes; children, Rhett and Conli; parents, Micah “Mike” and Amelia “Amy” Perry; sister, Elizabeth Perry; maternal grandparents, Brenda and Steve Rector; maternal step-grandmother, Debbi Cox; father-in-law, Jeff (Rose) Hayes; mother-in-law, Teresa Hayes; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chelsie (Ryan) Wilson and Carrie (Brandon) Goodrick; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Allison Perry; paternal grandparents; Charles “Pap” (Barbara) Perry and Irene Perry; maternal grandfather; Tom Cox.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Middletown First Baptist Church, 310 N. 8th Street Middletown, IN, with Mark Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
