Michael Acord Obituary
Mike is survived by his wife, Beverly Acord; two sons, Jeremy and Nathaniel Acord; daughter Linh Acord; nephew and niece Zach and Beth Acord; four brothers Russell, Steven, Timothy, and Christopher; two sisters Becky and Barbara; and stepmother Barbara.
He was predeceased by his own father, Alvin Acord, who passed away in 2010.
Mike returned to Maine after honorably discharging from the U.S. Navy in 1975. That same year he met his wife, then Beverly Jean Trussell, in Dresden and they were married shortly after. The majority of Mike's working life was as a Maritime Electrician for Bath Iron Works, from which he was medically retired after more than 20 years.
His home in Pittston, along with the home's landscape, was designed by himself and built by him with the help of his family. Michael was known for his attention to detail, diligence, and honesty and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine.
