LuAnn R. Acord

LuAnn Rose Acord, age 66 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 23, 1959 in Lapeer, Michigan, the daughter of the late, William and Anna (Orrison) Berlin. On her birthday in 1980, LuAnn was united in marriage to Timothy Allan Acord and they were blessed with 45 years together.
LuAnn worked for several years as a Respiratory Therapist at Caro Community Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and camping but most of all loved spending time with her family. Through the years LuAnn enjoyed her pets- especially her dogs. LuAnn was a woman of faith, even though she was not a member of a church, she attended frequently with her children.
Surviving family include her husband, Tim; children, Timothy (Susan) Acord II, William (Christy) Bilicki, Mike (Betty) Acord and James (Barb) Acord; grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie) Bilicki, Robert (Jade) Bilicki, Elizabeth (Alyssa) Bilicki, Dylan Smith, Alishia Bilicki, Jimmy Acord, William Bilicki, Douglas Acord, Victoria Acord, Sarah Acord, Adam Acord and Lucas Acord; as well as 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dave Berlin; sister, Melinda Kaster and many nieces, nephews and friends. LuAnn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna as well as her brothers, Thomas, Chuck, Al and Mike Berlin.
Funeral service will at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home, 149 N. Main St. in Vassar. Pastor Curt Lapham will officiate and burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Mayville. The family will greet visitors on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those desiring to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the wishes of the family.
