Michael Nee Owusu Addo transitioned peacefully at home on Friday, December 20, 2024.
He was a proud husband, father, and brother leaving behind his wife Debbie Smith-Addo and son Malik Addo; three siblings: Charles Addo, Deborah Addo-Samuels, and Lamont Addo; nieces Keasha Addo, Cadence Addo, and nephew Ellington Addo.
Michael was born on July 26, 1954, in Washington, DC. He enrolled in the US Army in which he served our country and returned to Washington, DC starting his career at the US Department of Labor. Continuing his education, Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of the District of Columbia. He served as an Accountant for the US Department of Labor and retired after 39 years of service.
His passion for giving and serving stood at a paramount place in his life. “Big Mike” as he was known for his great love for his family and friends, good words, warm heart, and his love for dogs. He will forever be loved and missed.
