Michael J. Aldieri

Michael J. Aldieri, 91, of Southington, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 22, 2025. He was the loving husband of the late Rachel (Cormier) Aldieri for 67 years.

Michael was born in Southington on March 24, 1933. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars and the Combat Infantry Badge.

Michael worked at the Southington Water Department for many years. After his retirement, he worked at the Aqua Turf and also was the license checker at the Recreation Park Pool. In his earlier years, he enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful husband, dad and grandpa and his daughter will greatly miss their morning coffee chats and her yard buddy!

Mr. Aldieri is survived by two daughters, Rachel Dixon and her husband Michael and Cheryl Aldieri, his grandchildren, James Martin, Nathan Nadeau and Jason Nadeau and his great-grandchildren, Alex, Justin, Collin, Jaxon, Emelia and Joey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2025 at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville. Please meet directly at church. Burial with military honors will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Plantsville Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
