Michael Alexander Obituary
Michael Edward Alexander of Selma, Alabama passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 71.
He was born on January 8, 1952 to the late Ben Edward Alexander and the late Verna Marie Nichols Alexander.
He was a retired assembly line worker for Mercedes.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Chance Alexander; children, Michael Scott Alexander (Lula), Chris Alexander (Christy), Jennifer Rodvelt (Daniel), Michael Britton (Helena), and Melissa Vardaman; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Debbie Poe (Bill), Lisa Hinson, and Donna Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Karen Alexander.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Powell officiating.
Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m..
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home.
