Michael Sam Allen

Mike Allen, 69, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025.

A Georgia native, Mike never met a stranger-whether it was workers at the grocery

store, staff at local restaurants, or someone standing next to him in line at an event. He

was a rabid Georgia Bulldogs fan and a faithful Braves follower. Mike never let a day pass without watching The Andy Griffith Show, laughing at each episode as if he were seeing it for the very first time. He also enjoyed watching sports and going on hunting and fishing trips with his friends, all of whom he loved fiercely. His family was his whole heart, and he shared his unconditional love with them every day. He loved grilling and cooking big meals for anyone who wanted to indulge. His big, cheerful laugh filled every room and spilled outdoors, where it could be heard for miles. Mike will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nanci Allen; his daughter, Nicole Allen of Lawrenceville (whom he always called Coley); his son, Michael Allen Jr. of Gainesville; his precious granddaughter, Lakelynd Allen of Gainesville-affectionately known as "Squishy"; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
