Michael "Mick" Anderson passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by immediate family and friends. He was born in Dover, Delaware on August 26, 1949.
Mick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Gayle; his son, Christian Anderson (Tracy); his daughter, Kara Anderson (Dave Carbin); his grandchildren, Tate and Audrey Anderson; his brother, Robert "Butch" Anderson; and sisters, Gail Mast, Ginnie Mae Cummings (Chet), and JoLynn Pooler; and numerous in-laws, out-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Mick is predeceased by his daughter, Kristen Anderson; his father, Robert F. Anderson; his mother, Virginia W. Pooler; his stepfather, Joseph Pooler; and his sister, Debbie Hess; niece, Jackie Slaughter and nephew, Johnny Willey.
Mick was deeply involved in the Church everywhere he lived. He served each congregation faithfully as a Song Leader, Bible class teacher, Deacon, and as an Elder at Christ Central Church, Cocoa, Florida. He was beloved by all ages, forming meaningful connections with everyone he met. His deep faith and strong commitment to his Church community left a lasting impact on everyone he served.
Mick's professional journey began in the Air Force (1968-1976) in various roles from morse code intercept operator to his last assignment at the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) at Patrick Air Force Base. He spent over 35 years in the Aloe Vera industry beginning in marketing and rising to become the President and CEO of the US Division of ALOECORP. He stepped down from that role to become their International Sales Manager, allowing him to move closer to his grandchildren on the East Coast, a decision that reflected his deep love and devotion to family. As International Sales Manager, he provided oversight for the distributorships he developed, while growing the ALOECORP brand worldwide, and personally visiting over 40 countries. His career-long dedication and expertise built lasting relationships across the globe, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.
Mick loved his grandchildren deeply, and they were the light of his life. He shared a special bond with Tate and Audrey, cherishing every moment he spent with them. He was their biggest cheerleader, always supporting their dreams and celebrating their achievements.
Deeply loyal and loved by many, Mick had an incredible sense of humor that could light up any room. His stories, jokes, and the joy and laughter he brought to others will be deeply missed. He was loved by all who met him.
Though his travels took him far, his heart was always close to those he cherished most. Mick's legacy lives on through the memories of family, friends, and loved ones whose lives he touched.
Mick's journey may have ended, but his spirit and the joy he shared will echo in the hearts of those who loved him forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Central Church on April 5, 2025 at 11 a.m.
(Church address: 2010 North Cocoa Blvd Cocoa, FL 32922)

I met Mick back in 1992 when he was creating the Aloecorp we know
today. Mick was the business oriented problem solver, but at the same time friendly, funny and humorous. What a Personality! We only met or spoke sporadically over the past 10 years and he always said " I miss you guys ". And we missed him! Today we miss him even more. Thanks for all the good times we had in the US, Europe and South Korea, Mick!

Mick was a wonderful influence in mine and my son's life. He was a wonder boss, mentor and friend. My fondest memories of Mick are so many but if I had to chose one, it is his teasing my son Marc, calling him Markie Marc, my main squeeze. Marc still remembers that, so many years later. We will miss him. He left an imprint on our hearts.

Mick was very important for my work with Aloe.
Mick was knowledgeable and always ready to help solving all kind of issues.
I also enjoyed his company and way of being, when I had the chance to meet with him.
Mick will truly be missed.
