Michael Anderson Obituary
He was a retired coal miner and a served as a Deacon at the Grapevine Primative Baptist Church.
Dean was born on October 7, 1960 in Pikeville, Kentucky the son of the late Lonnie Anderson and Vina Alice "Dolly" Justice Anderson.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Anderson and four sisters, Patrician Dale Abbott, Lillian Anderson, Stella Anderson and Marie Anderson.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Hampton Anderson and two daughters, Latisha Lynn Anderson (Robbie McQuirk) and Natasha Hunt (Richard) all of Phyllis, Kentucky.
Six grandchildren, Amber Slone (Josh), Whitney Danielle Ramey, Austin Ryan Hunt, Alexis Brooke Hunt, Anthony Hunter Ramey and Riley Michael Hunt and six great-grandchildren, Jasmine Slone, Alyssa Jo Slone, Abby Slone, Maddison Slone, Joshua Slone and Amelia Slone.
He is also survived by four brothers, Connel Anderson (Marie) of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Robert Lee Anderson (Dora) of Kimper, Kentucky, Roger Anderson (Faye) of Phyllis, Kentucky, Chris Anderson (Ellen) of Kimper, Kentucky and one sister, Gaynell Turnmire Thornsbury of Newport, Tennessee; also brother-in-law, Harold Abbott of Kimper, Kentucky, Zeb Hampton (Leah) of Pikeville, Kentucky and sister-in-law, Dewauana Wallace (Darrell) of North Carolina.
Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the Grapevine Primative Baptist Church with services each evening at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will 12:00 Noon Monday, January26, 2026, at the Grapevine Primative Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Dean and Colleen Anderson Cemetery, Anderson Road, Phyllis, Kentucky
Honoring Dean by serving as Pallbearers will be Richard Hunt, Austin Hunt, Riley Hunt, Hunter Ramey, Robbie McQuirk, John Wallace, Jerry Wallace, Eugene Hunt, Deric Hampton, Kaleb Blair, Jeff Anderson, Victor Anderson, Matt Turmire, Justin Abbott, Dalton Hubbard, Christopher Anderson, Mark Turmire, Roger Lonnie Anderson.
