Michael Anger

Michael Anger, of Pima, entered into eternal life Friday, January 9, 2026, after an unexpected illness, surrounded by his children in El Paso, Texas. Michael was 62.
Michael's career centered on operating and supervising heavy equipment for over 40 years, working on multiple projects across the country, specializing in heavy civil engineering dirt work. He was sought after for both his skill and reputation, and it was noted that "his name was his resume".
Michael loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was known for his kind and fun nature, and always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed adventure and living life to the fullest with his family, through camping, watching his grandchildren's sports and activities, and taking them to drag races and monster truck shows. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and occasionally sharing his talent by cooking for them.
Michael is survived by: his brother, Paul (Tawnie) Anger; and his children, Brent (Jenn), Alyson Anger, Michelle (Jeremy) Ybarra, Paul (Stacey), Houston (Jaycie); and twenty grandchildren that he cherished. Michael's daughter, Ashlie, preceded him in death in 2021.
Funeral services for Michael will be conducted Friday morning, January 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Stake Center by Bishop JJ Alder of the Pima Second Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Pima Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 22, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Vining Funeral Home and Friday morning, January 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Stake Center Relief Society Room.
