Michael Lynn Attaway

A visitation service for Michael Lynn Attaway, 69, will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 1815 Marshall St., Shreveport, Louisiana.

Michael was born on March 28, 1955 to Floyd Attaway and Kathryn Attaway in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away Saturday 29, 2024 in Mooringsport, Louisiana.

Michael was a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Northwood Highschool. He was married for 28 years to Nelda Young Attaway. He worked as a welder and iron worker and retired from TSE International. He loved hunting and fishing in his favorite spots and enjoyed feeding his birds. One of his favorite activities was camping and sitting around the campfire with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Larry Attaway and sister, Lisa Attaway. He is survived by wife, Nelda Young Attaway; daughter, Tabitha Hightower Scott and husband, Thomas Scott; grandson, Gregory Hightower Scott; sister, Shiela Harris and husband, Mike Harris and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and family.

The family would like to express special thanks to the employees of TSE International and Willis Knighton Hospice for their care and compassion given to Michael over the last few months and his friends Bo Ezernack, Mike and Terry Blanchard and Sonny Nussman.
