Michael Wayne Austin

Michael Wayne Austin, 73, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 24, 1951, Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Carla, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of love. He was a proud father to four children and a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mike dedicated over 40 years of his life to Dolese, where he was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment to excellence. Beyond his career, he was a man of his word-someone whose honesty and integrity were evident in every aspect of his life.
Mike was a man of faith and had a passion for world missions. He enjoyed camping and spent many days at Ft. Cobb Lake with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Austin, of the home. Children: Teresa Austin, Fresno, California, Stacy Austin and wife Yulia, San Miguel, Mexico, Sherman Austin and wife Michele, Apache, OK, Tamara Gilbreath and husband Adam, Apache, OK. Grandchildren: Anastasia Henze, Jaylon Austin, Shaelyn Greyling and husband Darius, Kadree Nunn and husband Billy, Averi Gilbreath, Lucas Austin, Carter Gilbreath. Great-grandchildren: Liam Henze and Brooks Nunn. Siblings: Mick and Doris Austin, Jane Featherston, Les Austin, Janet and Greg Stallings, Lana and Charles Barnett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Betty Austin; his brother-in-law, Greg Featherston; and his great-nephew, Ricky Morales.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his faith, hard work, love, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Fairview Cemetery in Apache, OK.
