Michael Barrette Obituary
Michael Jerome Barrette, 63 of Indian River, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Munson Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.
Born October 27, 1961, in Cheboygan, he is the son of Jerome D. and Barbara J. (Schramm) Barrette. He was a lifelong area resident.
Mike worked in the area at Weyerhauser in Frederic, Burt Lake Marina, and last as the produce manager at Ken’s Market. In his spare time, he was an avid reader with special interest in reading about Native American cultures.
Mike is survived by his parents, Barbara Barrette of Bartow, FL and Jerome (Thorma) Barrette of Diamondville, WY; his sister, Vicki (Mike) Conner of Lakeland, FL; a niece, Tara (Brian) Schwetz; a nephew, Trevor (Michelle) Munn; a grandniece, Aubrey Munn; and grandnephew, Brantley Munn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Traci Barrette.
