Justin Michael Turner-Eggeson

We come together today to honor and celebrate the life of Justin M. Turner-Eggeson, a spirited, thoughtful, and loving individual whose journey came to a peaceful end on August 29, 2025, in Traverse City, Michigan. Born on August 3, 1973, in Columbia City, Indiana, Justin's vibrant spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

Justin's early life was marked by a strong sense of duty and service, as evidenced by his enlistment in the Army as an Infantry Soldier, where he bravely served in Iraq in 2001. Following his military service, Justin found his calling in mechanical engineering. He had an innate ability to fix anything that was broken, and he approached each challenge with a unique blend of tenacity and creativity. His passion for mechanics paralleled his love for skateboarding, the marvel universe, and video games, but his favorites always remained coffee and guns… a reflection of his multifaceted personality.

He is remembered by his loving family: his mother, Jackie Eggeson; brother, Brandon Eggeson; and his children, Charles E. Turner, Logan M. Turner, and Lilly A. Turner, who were the center of his universe. Justin was a beacon of light in their lives, and his legacy of love and laughter will live on through them. Though his father, Kenneth Bruce Turner, preceded him in death, the bond they shared continues to inspire those Justin left behind.

Justin's life was a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit. He did not let the absence of a formal college education define him or deter his ambitions. Instead, he turned his GED into a steppingstone that led to a fulfilling life rich with experiences and achievements.

In a world that often demands conformity, Justin stood out as a man who was unapologetically himself. He was a person who would lend a helping hand without a second thought and who brought joy and laughter into every room. It was once said by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived-this is to have succeeded." By this measure, Justin's life was a resounding success.

As we say farewell to Justin M. Turner-Eggeson, we do so with heavy hearts, but also with a deep appreciation for the time we were privileged to share with him. His was a life well-lived, full of passion, purpose, and an abundance of love. Justin's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him. Though he may be gone from our sight, the essence of who he was-a spirited, thoughtful, and loving man… will never be forgotten.
