1968-2025

Morrisville, VT & Putnam, CT– It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael P. "Boo" Beaulac at the tender age of 56. Boo died unexpectedly Thursday, June 26, 2025 preparing the field for a rugby tournament with his team Mad River Rugby. Well known in Stowe, VT and Putnam, CT he will be greatly missed! Born in Putnam, CT, he was the son of the late Maurice and Mary (Hannifan) Beaulac.

Boo was a 1986 graduate of Putnam High School as well as a graduate of Johnson State College where his rugby days began. He owned and operated a local Stowe tavern named "Ladies Invited". He was a long-time member of Mad River Rugby Club where he was more than just a player – "He was the heart of the team, an iconic rugger who played with passion, and lived the spirit of rugby both on and off the pitch."

He loved life, his friends and family and of course Rugby. Even though he had many health issues during the course of his life, he dreamed BIG!! His many dreams, ideas, and thoughts could have a whole room of people curious on how it would turn out. The stories he told (even though most had heard them a hundred times) will truly be missed. He was always happy to help a friend in need. He enjoyed adventures, his beloved dogs Gertrude and Izzabella, watching Jeopardy, motorcycles and life in general. His blue smiling eyes lit up a room. Don't cry because "he died a perfect death, on the side of the rugby pitch, watching the sport he loved surrounded by friends & family, surrounded by Love.

Boo is survived by his sisters Margaret A. Beaulac and her partner Eileen McLaughlin of Dayville, Ct and Maureen L. Beaulac of Marlborough, MA; his aunt and godmother Colleen Hannifan, and his cousins James and Jennifer Hannifan and Kathleen Hannifan all of Boca Raton, FL. He leaves a large extended family of cousins as well as MANY MANY friends.

All are invited to visit with Boo's family from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in the Gilman Funeral Home, 104 Church St, Putnam, CT. His funeral will assemble on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St., Putnam, CT. Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery, Putnam, CT. A celebration of his life will be held at Burt's Irish Pub on August 10, 2025 at a time to be announced.

Donations may be made in Boo's memory to Mad River Stowe RFC, 354 Call Rd., Morrisville VT 05661.
