Michael Randolph Bienvenu, Sr., a lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Louisiana, passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 9, 1946, in New Iberia, Louisiana,
He was a loving man with a passion for cars and engines, spending much of his time rebuilding motors. In addition to his time spent in the garage, he cherished moments fishing with his son, creating special memories together.
He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Katherine; son, Michael R. Bienvenue, Jr; and grandson, Michael R. Bienvenue, III; brother-in-law, Glenn J. LeBlanc (wife, Barbara); niece/Goddaughter, Naomi L. Vazquez (husband, Samuel); nephews, Gregory G. LeBlanc (wife, Jessica), and Kevin C. Racca (companion, Melyssa Boudoin); four great nephews; four great nieces; one great, great nephew; and his beloved pet dogs, Lucas and George.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edgar Joseph Bienvenu, Jr.; mother, Irene Martin Bienvenu; father-in-law, Paul H. LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Paula S. LeBlanc; sister-in-law, Gail L. Sonnier; brother-in-law, Curtis Sonnier; sister-in-law, Linda L. Aucoin; nephew, Andre Jude Racca; and his beloved pet dog, Buddy.
Michael will be deeply missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
