Michael Bishop, 57, of Loveland, lost his battle of a rare cancer on January 15, 2008. Mike was born April 5, 1950 in Nyssa, OR to Elmer L. Bishop and Dorothy M. Bishop. He moved to Loveland in 1963 and graduated from Loveland High School in 1968. He worked for Hewlett Packard as a Production Supervisor for 18 years and for the past 20 years as a Project manager for Dickenson Electric of Loveland. Mike was a volunteer fireman with the Loveland Fire Department from 1979 to 1988. On April 29, 1978 Mike married Beverly Dowling in Loveland. In 1997, he and his family moved to Livermore, CO. Mike was a member of the First Christian Church in Loveland and Morning Star Community Church in Red Feather Lakes. He enjoyed being on the mountain, shooting and riding horses. He is survived by his wife, son Jason and daughter-in-law Misti, daughter Kim, daughter Karrie Simianer and son-in-law Bill, all of Loveland and son USMC Stg. Jordan Bishop of New River, NC, grandsons, Wyatt, Weston, and Walker Simianer and granddaughters Morgan and Madyson Simianer. Mike is also survived by his dad Elmer and wife Faith of Livermore, sister Kathy Ledkins and husband Bill, sister Karen Shima, sister Kris Turner and husband Tracy, sister Kelley Arvidson and husband Jim, sister-in-law Pat Stuart and husband John, brother-in-law, Bill Dowling and sister-in-law Linda Dowling, 8 nieces and 4 nephews as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom, grandparents, sister Kimberlee and brother David, nephew Dean Rawlings and brother-in-law Don Shima. Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 22 at Allnutt Hunter Chapel. A Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 23 at First Christian Church in Loveland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mike Bishop Benefit Fund in care of Allnutt Funeral Service.
