Luginbuel Funeral Home - VinitaMichael Wayne Blackman, age 75, of Disney, Oklahoma, passed away surrounded by loved ones in his home. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Michael was the son of Roy Eugene Blackman and Elizabeth Bell McConnell.
Michael was a well-known and deeply loved member of the Disney community. As the owner of a local bait store, Blue Water Bait and Tackle, he formed countless friendships and connections over the years. He truly knew everyone, and everyone knew him.
Above all else, Michael was a devoted family man and a beloved “Pops.” Being Pops was the role he treasured most. His grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether offering advice, cracking jokes, or simply being there, Pops had a way of making each grandchild feel deeply loved and special.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Blackman; his siblings, Scott Blackman, Steve Blackman, and Susan Struble; and his children, Jason Blackman, Chad Blackman and his wife Cassie, and Ethan Blackman and his wife Whitney. He was a proud grandfather to Jenna, Zack, Hunter, Charles, Theodora, and Kayden, and a great-grandfather to Zayn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Brian Blackman. Michael will be remembered for his kindness, humor, strong spirit, and unwavering love for his family and community. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched, the family he adored, and the town that loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
