He enlisted in the U.S Army Reserves from 1962-1970. After 6 long years of engagement, Mike finally married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary Orologio on January 21, 1967 at St. Andrew's Church in Norwood. Together they raised their three children in which he was extremely proud of. He worked as an auto mechanic for the New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1995. After retirement, Mike worked at various places to keep busy including the Norwood Post Office, Advanced Auto, TJ Toyota and Community Bank. His interests included collecting state quarters, horses, Native American History and making his "donation" to the casino. Anyone who knew POP knew he loved a good hot dog, a bottle of wine and could deliver a one liner on any occasion. Mike was always busy wheeling and dealing, he had a love for classic fast cars and enjoyed building, restoring, painting and the mechanics of them. There was nothing he couldn't do. He was especially proud of his 57 Chevy that he completely restored himself in which he will have one last ride home in.
