Kepple-Graft Funeral HomeMichael Richard Boyer, of Greensburg, PA, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away at the age of 32 on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born in Pittsburgh on September 2, 1992. He resided in Greensburg, PA his entire life.
Michael is survived by his loving mother Annette (Georgulis) Boyer of Greensburg; brother Patrick Boyer, sister-in-law Caroline (Moore) Boyer and grandmother Joyce (Sampey) Cline. He left behind numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his late father, Michael Patrick Boyer, grandmother, Susanne (McMullen) Boyer, and grandfather, James Georgulis.
His greatest gift given was his love for family and friends, of which he had many. Michael cherished time spent with family, friends and loved to reminisce about past experiences with loved ones. His smile was infectious and would light up a room as wide as it could reach. He possessed a heart of gold and would lend a hand to anyone in need.
From a young age, Michael learned to take a stand for what he believed in, always protecting his younger brother and those around him. He had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party at family gatherings. He had a boisterous laugh, which he inherited from his mother. It resounded from rooms away during family gatherings; once again, making people he loved smile.
Michael had many interests and talents, including skateboarding, soccer, baseball, golf, and basketball. Skateboarding stood apart from the rest, as Michael spent years of his life ‘shredding’ hills, rails, stairs, gaps, and parks all over Western Pennsylvania. Skateboarding was a sport that allowed Michael to show his true self; one with his thoughts, concentrating on landing the big trick, wherever he was!
Michael took a specific interest in art classes, creating many beautiful drawings, painting, pottery pieces, and sketches. While spending hours on his artwork, he found his love for music, especially Elton John and the Beatles. He specifically enjoyed working with his hand and building things; this translated from his adept ability to build Legos at a very young age. As he became an adult, he enjoyed helping his mother in assembling items for her home.
His interest in landscaping and lawn care developed when he worked part time at Westmoreland County Community College as a student. Before his passing he worked for Green Creations Landscaping Co. in Greensburg, PA.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 6, from 2-4pm at Kepple Graft Funeral Home, 524 N Main St, Greensburg, PA. A family memorial service will be held from 4-5:00 pm.
