Michael Anthony Brabeck

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michael Anthony Brabeck. Michael passed away on October 15th at the age of 72 in his home in Mesquite, NV. Michael was born in St Paul, MN to Frank and Helen (Scanlan) Brabeck. He married the love of his life Paula, aka Pauline, on March 26, 1996, at St John’s Lutheran Church Corcoran, MN.

 Michael was raised in St Paul, MN graduating from Hill High School in 1970. Soon after he traveled around the United States often jumping Railroad cars getting from place to place. After a few years, he attended Anoka Tech to pursue his electrical career. He began his long and decorated life in the Lighting Industry with Davis & Associates, Inc. in 1976. After 42 years, Michael retired in 2018. 

 While his roles and titles were many, his official title was Specification Sales Manager. He poured his heart and soul into the business. Everyone who knew Michael knew how his dedication was unwavering. Michael was full of light, joy, and positivity, traits that were obvious to all even after just a single meeting with him. Michael enjoyed life to the fullest. His passions were golfing, fishing, traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He would do anything for his friends, family, clients, co-workers and community. Our family is grateful to know that Michael is finally at peace.

Michael is survived by Paula aka Pauline Unke/Brenner, Mesquite NV. Children: Liva (Jay) Wolf of Chanhassen, MN., Nicholas Brabeck, of Golden Valley, MN., Jennifer (Steven) Srey, of Minneapolis, MN., Shanna (Jason) Davis of Annandale, MN., Brian Unke, of Buffalo, MN; siblings Bonnie and Danny Veesenmeyer, of St Paul, MN., Joan (Al) Dumke, of Hudson WI. Lenore (Mike) Jensen of Naples FL. Charlotte (Dave) Mason of Lolo, MT. Grandchildren, Jaxon (Liva and Jay), Smith, Judah (Jen and Steven), Noah, Christian (Brian). Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. and an abundance of friends. We will miss Michael more than words can say. May Michael Brabeck rest in eternal peace, and may his memory continue to bring laughter and warmth to the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

 Michael was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Helen Brabeck.

A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on November 7, 2024 from 2-6 pm at Davis and Associates Inc., 1305 Corporate Center Dr. Suite 150, Eagan, MN.
