Michael Raymond Brown, known affectionately as M-ray, was born on February 22, 2003, in Honolulu, Hawaii, and passed away on September 9, 2024, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. His life, though far too short, was marked by a spirit that radiated warmth and kindness to all those who knew him.
Michael was a hard worker who took great pride in his jobs, consistently demonstrating reliability and trustworthiness. His personality was a delightful blend of humor, gentleness, and empathy. Michael was known for his contagious smile and his laid-back, easygoing attitude. He was a good listener and had an insatiable curiosity, always eager to learn and experience more of what life had to offer.
In addition to his work ethic, Michael had a wide array of hobbies and interests. He loved playing basketball, working out, and exploring nature. He delighted in going for drives, eating out at new places, and listening to music. Some of his most cherished memories were created during road trips to various states and adventures in many national parks, experiences that highlighted his love for the great outdoors.
Although Michael achieved many things in his life, one of his proudest accomplishments was obtaining his Mercedes Benz, a symbol of his determination and success in meeting his athletic goals. It was a reflection of his hard work and commitment.
Michael is survived by his loving family, including his father, Keith Brown; mother, Ellen Smart; brother, Brandon Brown; sister, Jealyn Douglass; brother-in-law, Devin Douglass; brother-in-law, Mitchell Douglass; sister in law, Molly Brown; nephew, Devin Koa Douglass; niece, Alana Douglass; and niece, Serenity Douglass. He is also remembered by his family members Charles Douglass and Kathleen Douglass, his aunt Bettye Dukes Elegan, his Nana, Mary Williams, as well as many wonderful extended family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Marilyn Smart, and Ella Brown.
A memorial service to honor Michael will take place on November 10, 2024, at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The service will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 10:00 AM, followed by additional gatherings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Michael's presence will be profoundly missed by all who loved him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, and the joy of living life fully will remain in the hearts of family and friends.
