Michael Henderson Brown "Mike, Crash, Brownie, Charlie, Doc", age 67, gained his wings and went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026. He was born on October 21st, 1958 and was originally from
Sykesville, Maryland but was currently residing in
Rogersville, Tennessee to be near his children. Michael was of the Pentecostal faith and grew up attending the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church in Ellicott City, Maryland. Later in life he was baptised and saved by the Lord in the Patapsco River in Sykesville. Growing up, Michael attended the Sykesville School, however at an early age he knew school was not for him. Michael left school and went to work full time. Over the years, Michael held many jobs however the ones he remembered and enjoyed most were working on a dairy farm, Fogle's Septic Services in Sykesville, Ikex in Taneytown, Hahn's of Westminster, and running a tractor/mower for the State of Maryland. After moving to Tennessee, he enjoyed helping family and neighbors. He would often be found doing yard work, small home repairs, or cutting firewood. Michael was a previous member of the CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) along with his son, Daniel Brown. He has often spoke of the good friends he made with the CMA and said riding with them were some of the best memories of his life. Michael also enjoyed the outdoors! He loved going fishing every chance he could get! He enjoyed grilling outside and having a good bonfire. He loved people and often invited friends and neighbors to come over and eat. During cold weather he loved drawing and crafts. Due to prior hard times in his own life, struggling with addiction and at times homelessness, Michael would help anyone he could that was in need. He was known to feed the homeless or give them a place to sleep. He always kept faith through all his trials in life and often spoke about the Lord to people. Michael truly didn't know a stranger! If he could crack a joke and make you smile then he was happy! Michael was preceded in death by his younger brother, Richard Brown; grandparents, Merrian and Effie Brown and Luther and Olive Renshaw; aunts and uncles, Doug Brown (Shirley), Helen Demalade (Andy), George Renshaw (Barbara), and Albert Renshaw (Nida). Michael loved his family very much and was survived by his son, Daniel Brown (Dena); step-daughter, Christina Riley; numerous adopted grandchildren; ex-wife, Donna Gregory; father, Ernest Brown Sr.; mother, Nancy Brown; brother, Ernest Brown Jr. (Linda), sister, Patricia Craft (Jim); uncle, Jim Brown (Harriet); numerous nieces and nephews.
