It is with great sadness we share in the death of our loving father, husband and beautiful soul, Michael Robin Browne, known to most as Robin. He left this world leaving us all a legacy of integrity, kindness, and a life rich in accomplishments.
Born in London to Diana and Bernard Browne on November 24,1941, Robin grew up with a great love for England and has lived his life as a gentle and true Englishman.
Robin's professional journey into the world of cinematography began early in his life and continued until his death. After retiring as director of photography extraordinaire, he took on the challenge of scriptwriting a documentary which culminated in his life's study about the true authorship of Shakespeare's body of work.
In 1978 Robin married Judy and together they built a beautiful home and family. In 1991 Robin and Judy moved from London to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. While in Michigan, Robin continued his career all while working on renovating his house, creating an English country garden and mentoring Debbie and Justin in his craft of photography. He was always surrounded by a caring circle of friends both old and new, near and far.
Robin's wish was to be cremated with only family members present. He is survived by his wife, Judy, son Justin, daughter Deborah, son-in-law, Troy, four beautiful grandchildren, and his brother Ian. A Memorial service to honor him will be held on July 14, 2024, 1pm, at Christ Church Cranbrook and followed by a reception at his home. The service will be livestreamed, the link may be found HERE.
In lieu of flowers, his family would prefer that a tree be planted in his memory through the Robin Browne Memorial Fund at Christ Church Cranbrook
