Michael Thomas Bukovich
Michael Thomas Bukovich, 59, of Hibbing, Minn., passed away unexpectedly and left us all too soon on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
He was born in Hibbing on January 12, 1966, to Harry Bukovich and Ina Haugen.
Mike graduated from Hibbing High School in 1984. He was involved in sports and was the manager of the football team and hockey team. Mike attended Eveleth Vo-Tech College for Accounting. He loved going for walks and taking Odie, his dog for rides around town. They were best buds and he would do anything for his dog.
Mike was a book of knowledge when it came to sports, he knew stats on every game. His favorite hockey team was the Boston Bruins. His favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt. And his favorite college team was Alabama Crimson Tide. Mike was such a proud grandpa, he loved Ivan so much and was looking forward to his new granddaughter, Xillo coming in September. He was so proud of his boys, Mason and McGwire and would do anything for them. Mike had many close friends who cared for him.
Mike is survived by his mother, Ina Bukovich; his sons, Mason and McGwire (Sadie McNiff) Bukovich; and his grandson, Ivan Bukovich.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Bukovich; his brother, Gregory Billings and numerous aunts and uncles.
A Gathering of Friends and Family to celebrate Mike's life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing.
Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing, MN.
