Anyone who had carried the name Michael Buttram and lives through it to still be remembered as such a great guy by so many must truly have been. Michael Buttram, I will remember this Obituary, and make sure I carry this name just as noble as you. Rest in peace sir.

Dear Lisa, I'm not sure if you remember me but I am the daughter of Rodger and Patsy Gillespie Oliver. I remember Mike from my childhood and he was such a nice man. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. I hope that you can find peace in this verse as I did when I lost my dad: "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" psalm 34: 18. We miss Mike so very much. I am so thankful for the wonderful example that he has been for our children. They had great respect for him and always felt he was an extended part of our family (the way we feel all of you are). You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Lisa, I can't tell you how saddened I was to hear about Mike's passing. I will always remember Mike as one of the most genuinely kind people I have ever known. I had the pleasure of knowing Mike 25 years. He was a good and trusted friend who loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He was a good man that I am proud to have called a close friend. Lisa and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike and myself, I am proud to say, were friends for 25 years. I loved him like a brother and always cherished the time we worked together. Mike could be funny but he also had a serious side.
