Michael "Mike" Dean Callahan, Sr. age 76 of Kingman, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Gibson Family Center of Hospice in Terre Haute. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky on December 12, 1948 to the late McKinley "Junior" Callahan and Boonie Ruth (Hardin) Clark.

Michael married the love of his life, Penny Sue Rose, in May of 2014. He drove a school bus for Southeast Fountain School Corporation for 18 years and him and Penny sold produce at the Jypville Corner Produce for many years. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; his three children, Melissa (Robert) Waddell of Crawfordsville, Suzan (Michael) White of Oakland City, Indiana and Timothy (fiancé - Thea McCarthy) Callahan of Crawfordsville; nine grandchildren, Robert Jr, Kaitlyn, Lindsay Mae, Ethan, Adam, Hailey Jo, Caiden, Mabel Rose and Graceland Rose; and his beloved dog, Kizzy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Reena Jae Callahan and Lisa Clark; a brother, Alvin Callahan; a son, Jeff Callahan; and a daughter, Kathy Callahan.

Cremation was chosen with a Visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big 4 Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
